Thank you for your amazing generosity in these uncertain times of schools reopening or not. As of now students will be starting the year with online learning and will need the school supplies that you have provided. Eventually, students will be returning to the classroom and backpacks will be needed. Our congregation collected and donated a total of 256 backpacks most of which we were able to fill with school supplies. The following non-profit agencies have received the backpacks and school supplies:
75 to the Lunch Bunch in Poway Unified
75 to Solutions for Change in Vista
73 to Salvation Army serving Escondido
33 to Door of Hope in San Diego
Large box of supplies for Meadowbrook Middle Schools Academic Success Class
All recipients are very appreciative of our donations as they serve low income families who are struggling due to food and job insecurities because of COVID restrictions.
