Blessing Others

Blessing Others

During the past month, congregants of RB Community have taken advantage of several opportunities to be a blessing to others. Thank you to several families and small groups who have packed over 600 sack lunches for clients of Interfaith Community Services. Additionally, two drive thru food drop off Saturdays have provided car loads of groceries donated to 4 Community Care food pantry. They are a non-profit who distributes groceries and fresh produce to families within Poway Unified School District boundaries.

Samaritan's Purse has sponsored Operation Christmas Child since 1993 and RB Community has been an active contributor for over 10 years. Even with COVID we were able to provide 185 shoeboxes filled with simple necessities, toys, and school supplies for children in countries eager to know about the love and grace of Jesus. Samaritan's Purse packs story books and devotionals in the child's language encouraging them in the faith. Thank you to Linda Souerbry and her crew of elves who help make this happen each year.

In honor of veterans, Carpenter's Fellowship sponsored Jeans for Vets and a truck load of clothing for men and women is being donated to Veterans Village of San Diego. Our donations are a small token of appreciation for your service to America.

Currently, our congregation is preparing Thanksgiving Dinner Bags for families in need in the PUSD boundaries. If you are interested in participating please contact Elaine Johnson at Elaine@rbcpc.org.
