Every Generation Matters: Help Shape Our Students

One of the greatest gifts of the church is that it unites every generation. Titus 2 reminds us that older believers are called to guide and encourage the younger ones. That’s intergenerational ministry at its best—and our students need it.

Our middle school and high school students don’t just need peers or young leaders. They need the whole church family. Sometimes what a parent has said a hundred times finally connects when echoed by a “surrogate grandparent” or another caring adult. Students crave voices that remind them they are loved, seen, and supported by their church.

It’s easy to think, “Students wouldn’t want me there.” But that’s not true. They’re not looking for perfection or trendiness. They’re looking for adults who will listen, show up, and care. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12 that every part of the body matters—including you.

This fall, we’re inviting more of our church family to step into student ministry. To make serving easier, we’re exploring rotating schedules that align with weeks The Chosen is not meeting—so those already on campus Wednesday nights can naturally step in.

We’re thankful for those who have already stepped up in hospitality by providing peanut-free snacks and drinks. Now we need others to join in:

  • Small Group Leaders to guide short conversations.

  • Behind-the-scenes helpers for tech, games, or setup.

  • Teaching Partners to help share God’s Word.

Serving students doesn’t have to be complicated. Often, the greatest gift you can give is simply your presence. Will you prayerfully consider joining us?
