Family Camp Reflection

Family Camp Reflection

This year’s Family Camp, in the scenic Dos Picos County Park in Ramona, was an unforgettable experience filled with joy, community, and a deep sense of togetherness. Families from all across our church gathered for a weekend packed with fun and lasting memories.

The wood-fired pizza oven became a favorite spot as everyone worked together to create delicious pizzas. In the evenings, the campfire brought people close, roasting s'mores and sharing stories under the starry skies. Kids and adults alike enjoyed launching stomp rockets and zipping around on scooters, making the most of the beautiful park surroundings.

The highlight was more than the activities: the time spent building community and connecting as we gathered for meals, explored the beauty of nature and shared in laughter. The Sunday morning service, held in the park's peaceful setting, was a time to pause and worship together, grounding our hearts in faith.

Though we were sad to see the weekend end, everyone agreed it was a much-needed break from the busyness of life, a time to reflect, recharge, and grow together. As we packed up and headed home—thankful for the comforts of our own beds—we left with memories to treasure and hearts full of gratitude.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this Family Camp so special. We’re already looking forward to next year’s adventure! Richard Klusmeier Student Ministries
