If Everyone Gives a Little, We End Up Giving A lot

Every month I am amazed at the generosity of our church family and members of our community. Amazed and filled with such gratitude that RBCPC can consistently make a difference in the lives of those around us in need. The non-profit agencies that we support with in-kind donations look to us to help meet their clients’ food insecurity, clothing, and household needs. The August collections have been very successful. One carload of groceries to New Day Urban Ministries, 200 sack lunches to Interfaith, and 119 pairs of shoes and several large bags of socks have been distributed to Solutions for Change, PUSD Youth in Transition, San Diego Rescue Mission, and Interfaith Community Services for families these agencies serve. It's a pajama party in September, as we are collecting new pajamas for foster children and kids living in shelters. Toddlers through youth size 10 can be left in the Welcome Center during the week, in the courtyard before/after Sunday worship, and at our drive-thru event on Saturday, September 14 from 9:00-11:00 am in the upper parking lot. Don’t forget about our grocery drive-thru event on Saturday, September 7 benefitting 4 Community Care food pantry in 4S Ranch serving seniors and families living within the Poway Unified School District boundaries. If you are interested in volunteering with a local food pantry this one is in your backyard. Volunteer once a week or once a month, there are a variety of jobs to pick from. If interested, contact Nicole at 4cc.volunteer@gmail.com. It takes all of us to make the RBCPC Outreach Ministry successful. I’m happy to be part of this ministry with you helping to make our little corner of the world better. Serving HIM Together, Elaine Johnson
