May 6 Hymn Sing Lyrics

For the Beauty of Meadows

For beauty of meadows, for grandeur of trees,

For flowers of woodland, for creatures of seas,

For all you created and gave us to share,

We praise you, Creator, extolling your care.

Verse 3

Teach us, once again to be gardeners in peace;

All nature around us is ours but on lease;

Your name we would hallow in all that we do,

Fulfilling our calling, creating with you.

As Your Family, Lord, Meet Us Here

Verse 3

Fill our spirits, Lord, with your love,

Fill our spirits, Lord, with your love,

Fill our spirits, Lord, with your love,

O Lord, with your love.

Verse 4

Make us faithful, Lord, to your will,

Make us faithful, Lord, to your will,

Make us faithful, Lord, to your will,

O Lord, to your will.

Verse 5

As your family, Lord, meet us here,

As your family, Lord, meet us here,

As your family, Lord, meet us here,

O Lord, meet us here.

You, Lord, Are Both Lamb and Shepherd

Verse 3

You, who walk each day beside us,

Sit in power at God’s side.

You, who preach a way that’s narrow,

Have a love that reaches wide.

You, the everlasting instant;

You, who are our pilgrim guide.

Verse 4

Worthy is our earthly Jesus!

Worthy is our cosmic Christ!

Worthy your defeat and victory,

Worthy still your peace and strife.

You, the everlasting instant;

You, who are our death and life.

We Are God’s People

We are God’s people, the chosen of the Lord,

Born of his spirit, established by his Word;

Our cornerstone is Christ alone, and strong in him we stand:

O let us live transparently, and walk heart to heart and hand in hand.

Verse 2

We are God’s loved ones, the Bride of Christ our Lord,

For we have known it, the love of God out-poured;

Now let us learn how to return the gift of love once given:

O let us share each joy and care, and live with a zeal that pleases Heaven.

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,

Heaven and earth are filled with your glory;

Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord;

Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna in the highest.

I Will Sing of My Redeemer

Verse 3

I will praise my dear Redeemer, His triumph and power I’ll tell,

How the victory he giveth over sin and death and hell.

Sing, O sing of my Redeemer, with his blood he purchased me,

On the cross he sealed my pardon, paid the debt, and made me free.

Verse 4

I will sing of my Redeemer and his heavenly love for me;

He from death to life hath brought me, Son of God, with him to be.

Sing, O sing of my Redeemer, with his blood he purchased me,

On the cross he sealed my pardon, paid the debt, and made me free.

Trust and Obey

When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word, what a glory he sheds on our way!

While we do his good will, he abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Verse 4

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet, or we’ll walk by his side in the way;

What he says we will do, where he sends we will go – never fear, only trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

In Christ There is No East or West

In Christ there is no east or west, in him no south or north,

But one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth.

Verse 2

In him shall true hearts everywhere their high communion find;

His service is the golden cord close binding humankind.

Verse 3

Join hands, disciples of the faith, whate’er your race may be!

Who serves my Father as his child Is surely kin to me.

Verse 4

In Christ now meet both east and west; in him meet south and north;

All Christly souls are one in him throughout the whole wide earth.

Holy God, We Praise Your Name

Holy God, we praise Your name, Lord of all, we bow before you;

All on earth Your scepter claim, all in heav’n above adore you;

Infinite your vast domain, everlasting is your reign.

Verse 4

Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit, Three we name you;

While in essence only one, undivided God we claim you,

Then, adoring bend the knee, while we own the mystery.

O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee

O Master, let me walk with thee

In lowly paths of service free;

Tell me thy secret: help me bear

The strain of toil, the fret of care.

Verse 2

Help me the slow of heart to move

By some clear, winning word of love;

Teach me the wayward feet to stay,

And guide them in the homeward way.

Verse 3

Teach me thy patience still with thee

In closer, dearer company,

In work that keeps faith sweet and strong,

In trust that triumphs over wrong.

Verse 4

In hope that sends a shining ray

Far down the future’s broadening way,

In peace that only thou canst give,

With thee, O Master, let me live.
