Not Just a Pool Party: The Power of Faith Beyond the Church Walls

After a short break to wrap up the school year, we’re diving into summer with our Wednesday Night Pool Parties, starting this week! Every Wednesday, students will gather for pool games, casual hangouts, burgers on the grill—and the chance to grow in faith together. Here’s why these nights matter: it’s easy for students to associate faith with the church building. But when that’s the only place it’s practiced, faith risks feeling disconnected from everyday life. Pool parties break that pattern. They show students that following Jesus isn’t something they leave at the door—it’s something they live, wherever they are. These nights also make it easy for students to invite friends who might be hesitant to come to church. A pool party feels familiar, fun, and welcoming. But it’s more than just a good time. It’s a chance for students and their friends to experience real community, hear biblical truth, and encounter Jesus in an environment that feels natural and safe. As we enter this season, we invite you to pray with purpose. Pray for fun and safety. Pray for students to connect in meaningful ways. And especially pray for new students to be drawn into a ministry that will nurture their faith not just this summer but all year long—whether on our campus or out in the sun.
