I have been the volunteer Outreach Ministry Coordinator since November 2017 and have had the amazing pleasure of seeing this churchwide and community-based ministry grow each year. Following is a quick summary of what YOU have helped to contribute to our neighbors in need during the July-June fiscal year:
Food – 3300 sack lunches for clients at Interfaith; 20 SUV loads of groceries for local food pantries plus 3,820 grocery items collected during Souper Bowl; 30,000 meals for families in Baja CA; dozens of home baked cookies for prisoners served through KAIROS Ministry; 16 truckloads of groceries from the PQ Post Office Stamp Out Hunger event for the 4 Community Care food pantry.
Clothing – 129 pairs of new shoes and 9 bags of socks; 149 sets of new pajamas; 4 SUV loads of infant and toddler items for military families; 400+ items of outerwear for men, women, and children for ALPHA Project, New Day Urban Ministries, PUSD Youth in Transition, STEP, SD Rescue Mission, and Solutions for Change.
255 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child
Over 500 knit scarves, hats, washcloths made by the Heartstrings group; 150 Santa Sacks and over 200 prayer squares for PUSD Youth in Transition by our sewing group.
3 carloads of toys and games for Angel Tree military families; a large pickup truck of toys, games, and books for fire victims in LA; 134 blankets and sleeping bags for the unsheltered in downtown San Diego.
100 individual toiletry kits for the unsheltered and 90 family size toiletry kits for those living in shelters.

$1885 in cash donations for various non-profits
Rejoice, in knowing that RB Community has made a significant difference in the lives of our neighbors in need throughout San Diego County. None of this is possible without your commitment of time and treasure. A very special THANK YOU to the Deacons for their monthly support of our outreach and drive through events. Thank you for helping to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - Wanted (3) people to help with set up for the PUSD Youth in Transition Back to School event.
