Reflection For December 14

The apostle Paul, a man transformed by God's grace, envisioned a world where everyone would know and love God. This new creation is not just a future hope, but a present reality that we can participate in. By embracing the spirit of friendship, we can offer second chances, love, and the gift of Jesus to others. Our heart is the core of our being, and we can reach out to the world and make a difference. The concept of kenosis, or self-emptying, refers to the idea of Jesus emptying Himself to take on human form in order to experience human limitations and suffering. In doing so, He demonstrated the ultimate act of love. As we celebrate Christmas, let's remember the true meaning of the season: friendship, love, and the transformative power of God's grace. Let us be people who love deeply, forgive freely, and share the hope of Christ with the world. With so much going on in our lives and the world, this message gave us hope knowing there are others here for us and we are here for them. God gives us this opportunity to make a difference. I attended the Wednesday night service and wanted to share the words from a song and a theme with you. “Come and see what God has done. The story of amazing love. The light of the world is given for us.” Jesus came for all of us. If we mess up, it is okay. We all come together. Getting together has value in our faith family. We belong and connect. We learn from each other. We get a renewed sense of purpose, energy, and joy. Consider attending future monthly Wednesday night services as we meet with people of all ages and share the love of God.
