Reflections For December 7

We want to have an impact. We need to stop, reflect, and take time to think about what we can do. During Advent, we can ponder where we are and look forward to how we can live our life in a new way. Let us embrace the future with hope and excitement, knowing that God has great plans for us. We are called to learn to be passionate. God’s gift of His Son was given to demonstrate his love. We can engage with this and have a purpose. We can help others walk into a life with God. In Isaiah 43:18, it says “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Philippians 3:12-14 says, “Not that I have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” As we await the birth of Christ, it’s a perfect time to reflect on our lives and consider how we can grow closer to God. You can experience the transformative power of Advent and live a life of purpose and meaning. Reflections from Deborah Kelly.
