God is everywhere and always. He is with everyone to speak to us about His love. Even in darkness, God is present. In Acts 17, Paul used the familiarity of the Athenians with Zeus as a cultural reference point to explain God but emphasized that God is far greater.
Mark told us God is with everyone to speak to us about His love. Mark portrays Jesus actively engaging with humanity, demonstrating God’s desire to communicate His love to all. God gives life and breath. God is concerned with the lost and actively seeks them. He will speak to us to help. We will be found.
One hymn last week had the words: “May I love in receiving and giving.” I believe the people in this church find and feel love when giving. They discover who God is in their life, and they don’t need to be concerned with being lost. We know God is with us as we give our gifts, time, and resources. Thank you to God and all of you for listening to how God is calling you.
After the service last week, we handed out bookmarks that had information about Family Ministries. The information was how to celebrate what is going on with our families, ways to support this ministry, and how to pray for them. I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Stewardship Committee and interviewing people in our various ministries. It has been so uplifting to know more about them. God knows us and engages with everyone at this church!
