Reflections for march 29

God is beyond our imagining! We get to experience love, creation, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We were able to experience this during our service last week as we had the orchestra and choir touch us with beautiful music and words. The enthusiasm of the choir and the short sermons that helped emphasize the words in the songs made it a wonderful experience of God with us. We learn from God. We constantly experience nature and God. God is our creator. Then God provided us with Jesus who offered a transformative experience beyond being our teacher. He lived thru his resurrection for us. He takes on our needs in the presence of God. We learned more about the Holy Spirit who acts as an advocate, friend, guide, and guardian. The Spirit helps us communicate with God and addresses our needs. Sometimes we don’t know the words to say to God. We have nothing and sit in silence. Thru the Spirit we grow, find purpose, and will be reminded of everything God has said to us. We get together with others, and this allows us to grow. We can enjoy love and faithfulness. Others recognize how we have changed. Trinity is not referred to in the Bible, but it is understood through personal experience. Experiencing God’s presence leads to cleansing, wholeness, and a profound understanding of love. Love is beyond knowledge. It is not just learning verses but acknowledging love. We can be filled by the fullness of God! If you are reading “Remembering the Forgotten God” for the Lenten Study, you read a lot about the Holy Spirit this week. You can learn more about how the Spirit works to glorify God, and how the Spirit works in your life. It is very powerful! Reflections from Deborah Kelly.
