God can guide us through life’s storms (or chaos) if we allow Him to participate in our reality. Peter walked on water to Jesus. He looked at the wind and waves and navigated life this way by trusting God. Peter had the power of faith to walk on water, but when he started to sink it represented the doubt that can weaken our faith. Are you allowing God to participate in your reality? We need to learn new things and look into life with curiosity. We take small steps to get closer to God. We look to people in this church to help us and support us. God is our Rock, Strength, Fortress, and Shepherd. God can teach us how the world works so we can walk out of chaos. The hymn “Lord Have Mercy” is asking for mercy for what we have done and asking for forgiveness. We make mistakes and have doubts, but we can walk back to God. We are preparing for a new senior pastor who will walk into our church learning about what we have been through and helping us to move forward. We can learn from this new person. We can learn from each other. We have a chance to learn about God together. We can overcome chaos through our faith in God. Reflections from Deborah Kelly.
