Reflections for july 12

God teaches us about joy and is always alongside us. In Ephesians 4, it refers to a transformation to a new life. We can live a life worthy of God’s calling. We can be humble, gentle, patient, and united in love. Think about how coaches, parents, pastors, and teachers cheer us on while coming alongside us. They offer divine support. We can join together to move forward. We can live in this community and get encouragement from others. Sometimes we feel alone, but we don’t have to. In the church, there are people to walk alongside you. Geoff talked about fixing our eyes on the goal, and we will make it. Jesus is the goal for us. We can run our race with perseverance and make it through. We can endure challenges just as Jesus endured the cross. Jesus has taught us how to live sincerely and joyfully. In Psalm 16, we find that we have security and joy in God. We can help others understand their significance and recognize the positive impact of the church’s mission. All of this resonates with me. I see the relationships we have here. I see what people are doing at this church and in our community to make a difference. There is love and joy here. There is support here. We will have a new pastor here in September who will continue to carry us forward on this path. Reflections from Deborah Kelly.
