Reflections for september 21

We often judge others without fully understanding their circumstances. We don’t know why someone may not understand us. We don’t know what kind of life they had growing up. Everyone’s journey is unique. Jesus taught us to avoid judging others and focus on building relationships and fostering trust. Paul reminded us that we can live abundant lives by focusing on others. We can appreciate God for putting those people in our lives and providing opportunities we never expected. We can strive to help others and make that a core value in our identity. Just think how building relationships and trusting God allows us to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. I am preparing for a guest speaking spot at the University of San Diego where I used to teach. The topic is about leadership and decision making. I am going to talk about having a growth mindset. This involves learning from others. We need to keep trying and never give up. We can try new things and be driven to grow and experiment with others. We may goof up, but we can keep trying. This reminds me of the sermon last week. Work with others to move forward. Enjoy a partnership to come up with new ideas. God is there for us to help us keep improving and trusting him. Relationships are important. After the service, I went over to the prayer team and asked them to pray for the relationships we have in this church. It is so helpful to know we can talk with others and learn from others. We can find others and share our stories with them. Reflections from Deborah Kelly.
