Reflections for september 28

The service last week was about discovering God’s plan for our lives. We had music about God’s amazing grace and how He has mercy for us. We just need to open our eyes, ears, and hearts to understand how we are being called with our talents and gifts to make a difference for others. Sometimes we need to pause our daily routines to connect with God’s presence. God can give us hope and a future. We can learn from God and bless others with what we have learned. I am reading a book (“Crafting a Rule of Life”) that has been helping me discover my gifts, talents, and time that I can share with others. I underlined the following sentences in the past week that said, “It’s all about love—as Jesus resides in us, we are invited to abide in him: loving because he first loved us, loving others and ourselves as he loves, sharing his love with all who cross our path. And it’s all about persevering—individually and collectively—in the life God has invited us to fulfill for his glory!” As I was reviewing my sermon notes, I thought about this book that is helping me discover God’s plan for me. We can reflect on our own lives and seek God’s guidance for how to move forward. We can live each day with God in our lives while helping others. This church is filled with a variety talents that we benefit from every day. We live knowing that Jesus resides in us. We share our knowledge and skills, and it is all about sharing God with others. We reach out into our community to offer clothing, food, and supplies to people who are struggling. We are fulfilling for his glory and discovering God’s plan for us. Reflections from Deborah Kelly.
