Remembrance

Tomorrow we’ll celebrate Independence. Flags will fly, banners will be hung, patriotic music will play, and fireworks will light up the sky. We were reminded last Sunday, in an opening video, that the freedom we find in our country is just a taste of the freedom we find in Jesus. “If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.” Take the time to thank God for the freedom which we share and the reasons we have to celebrate, appreciating all those who helped make this freedom possible. The thing about our freedom in Christ and the freedom in America is that they each are freedoms that require limitation. Our commitment to live into each of these freedoms, requires us to dedicate ourselves to limit our own expression of freedom so that others can experience the same thing. God bless America!
