Location: Fellowship Center

Ephesians with Pastor Geoff

Wednesdays, January 12 to February 16 | 7:00 pm

Location: Fellowship Center

Instructor: Pastor Geoff Kohler

Ephesians is a letter from the Apostle Paul to a community of the area around Ephesus. We’ll explore how Paul describes God’s work, through the Holy Spirit, to create a new Society. The word “ekklesia” that we translate as “church,” means “the called out ones.” The idea behind this is that God “called us out” of the society of the world and into a new society. Paul’s letter here leads us into a new form and understanding of relationship and society. It answers the question, what is the church?

Insights from God’s Off-the-Wall Prophet from the Book of Ezekiel

Instructor: Rev. Dr. Bob Lauer

Sundays, March 6 to April 24 (not on April 17) | 11:00 am to 12:00pm

Location: Fellowship Center

Ezekiel was a prophet whose visions and behavior were nothing short of bizarre.  They were so bizarre that there was a fierce debate among the ancient rabbis as to whether the book should be a part of the canon.  But if we take the time to ponder what Ezekiel said and did, we will discover that he has many insights and ideas that can help us live the kind of godly lives to which we have been called.

Set aside this hour each week to intentionally “be still” and find spiritual nourishment. Sit quietly as a scripture passage is read allowing time to reflect on God’s Word and the message it may have for you. As each individual is at a different point on their journey, the passage will impact each in a different way. There is time at the end for sharing. The zoom format allows for a casual, relaxed setting while in our own homes.
