Rancho Bernardo Community Youth Theater’s Spring Musical is Freaky Friday!

When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another’s struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.

Who: 6th - 12th graders

Date: January 11, 2025

Time: 10am - 1pm auditions

Callbacks: 2pm - 5pm Saturday and 2pm - 5pm Sunday Jan 12th.

Audition Fee: $45 (non-refundable). Fee is waived for students enrolled in Tuesdays drama class.

Production Fee: $250 (non-refundable) due by Jan 18th - Payment options and partial assistance is available.

What to prepare: 1 minute song (16 - 32 measures) and 30 sec monologue.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes and shoes you can dance in. No jeans or flip flops.

Show dates: April 4 - 6, 2025
