Financial Analysis Specialist for Early Childhood Education
Full-time

I.          MAJOR PURPOSE

The Finance Analysis Specialist primary responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Record Keeping to include billings and payments of tuition using Shelby Systems, reconciling credit card payment systems, monthly ACH payments, making and reconciling deposits, processing of check/payment request.
  • Support special projects of the preschool to include the Craft Fair and Women’s Dessert Night/Silent Auction.


II.        SCOPE

The Finance Analysis Specialist is responsible for all financial processes of the Early Childhood Education Ministry (Preschool) and to provide reports and summaries to the Director (and ECE Committee) on a monthly basis.


III.       MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

A.      Maintain complete and up to date financial records of the Preschool to include billings, income and expenditures.

B.      Complete weekly deposits of cash and checks.

C.      Provide monthly reports and summaries to the ECE/Preschool Director.

D.      Provide quarterly reports/summaries for the ECE committee.

E.      Reconcile deposits, and posting to accounts each month.  

F.      Maintain a knowledge of Shelby Systems.

G.      Support ECE fund raising efforts; Craft Fair & Women’s Dessert Night and Silent Auction.

H.      Work with Preschool families on fees, tuition, payment options, statements, tax details, and FSADC forms/reports.

I.       Assist and manage staff with payroll timesheets.

J.      Serve as a member of the RBCPC staff, serve Jesus Christ in word and action with the children, staff, families of the ECE Ministries and congregation and community.


IV.        SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

A.      Work with ECE Director (and ECE Committee) in preparation and implementation of the annual budget.

B.      Maintain financial records in Shelby data base to include income, deposits, expenses, and supplemental accounts.

C.      Maintain accounts receivable in Shelby Data base to include tuition billings and payments.

D.      Provide support and guidance to fundraisers- the Craft Fair and Women’s Dessert Night.

E.      Complete weekly deposits for cash and checks.

F.      Provide monthly financial reports and summaries.

G.      Serve as a resource to Preschool families in regards to billings, payments and payment options.

H.      Participate in Preschool staff meetings and in-services as directed by the Director.

I.       Participate in Parent Orientation Night and other ECE/Preschool events scheduled throughout the year as directed by the Preschool Director.

J.      Maintain knowledge regarding ECE programs and ministries of RBCPC.

K.      Perform other duties as requested by the ECE/Preschool Director.


V.          WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

A.      Work under the supervision of the Preschool Director.

B.      Works in cooperation with the RB Community Church Accountant and Business Administrator (and the Preschool’s Assistant Director).

C.      Provide support and cooperation with ECE staff members. 

D.      Relate to RBCPC staff members.

E.      Submit reports and/or summaries to the RBCPC Accounting Department.


VI.        QUALIFICATIONS

A.      Knowledge and experience in office and accounting procedures.

B.      Knowledge and experience with computers and support programs.

C.      Team-oriented attitude.

D.      Excellent oral communication and writing skills.

E.      Professional, friendly, flexible, resourceful, reliable.

F.      Willingness to affirm and practice the RBCPC Child Safety Policy.

G.      Willingness to work within and affirm the vision of RBCPC and specifically the mission of the RBCPC ECE Ministries.
