Preschool at RB Community

RB Community Church is blessed to have a preschool on our campus to serve the children and families in our community.  RBCPC Preschool is committed to celebrating the uniqueness of each individual, actively engaging in our community, and showing God’s love in everything we do.

Our Preschool embraces all children and families, values building meaningful relationships, and nurtures academic, social and spiritual growth.  We believe children learn best through play.

We are a state licensed and NAEYC accredited, non-profit preschool.  We are a ministry of RB Community Church.

Joy to the World!

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10\n\nChristmas is a magical time. At the preschool, we are blessed to work with young children who are easily in wonder of things. It’s a gift to witness their awe. And when we allow ourselves to join them in experiencing things in a fresh, new way, we, also, can experience new joys and wonder. \n\nThis week, visits to the Christmas Train brought bright eyes, imagination, and excitement. The moving train, the people in the village, and the way the town shines when we pretend it is nighttime and turn off the lights in the room. Creating gifts and cards for their parents brought thrills of giving. Ringing jingle bells as we sang Christmas songs lifted spirits and brought us together.\n\nAt our preschool chapel time, we were gifted with a Christmas sing-along by a group of gifted ukulele musicians. The group arrived in Christmas garb of Santa hats, Christmas sweaters and Christmas glasses and led us in singing Christmas songs. Followed by Pastor Jason dressed as Elf sharing about giving and receiving gifts- and Jesus, the best gift of all. The kids loved it all- and so did the staff. \n\nWe’ve had some difficult times lately in our preschool staff family. After chapel several teachers commented on the fun music and “Will they be back for tomorrow’s chapel?” And, “Best chapel ever.” It brought joy. Our loads were lightened. We were strengthened. I’m so grateful! I don’t think the ukulele players know what that did for those of us in attendance. Isn’t God so good to work his love and joy into our lives, not just at Christmas, but every day.\n\nMany thanks to these talented church members (Greg Kritzer, Jack Guenthard, Nancy Hylbert, Perry and Dick Kurtz, Diane Remick, and Craig Riddle) for sharing joy and your talents. The children and the preschool staff loved this special gift. \n\nWishing you all joy as we celebrate Jesus, our Savior.\n\nBlessings\n\nKim Vandergrift, Preschool Director...

It’s summertime at RBCPC Preschool!

After cleaning classrooms and a couple of days off, several teachers returned to teach summer camp. Our first week was about Superheroes. We learned that we all have\n\nIn the office, we continue to work through the summer, closing out records of wonderful children moving on to kindergarten, inputting new student information into our system, working on staffing, setting up classes, and preparing for the teachers and children to return in August. \n\nAlong those lines, we are looking to hire a couple of compassionate staff who have a heart for young children, sharing God’s love, and the joys of learning about our world. If you are interested, please contact me at ...

Blessings

Life is full! There are many blessings around us at Preschool.\n\nOur Annual Craft Fair was a great success. We raised $13, 133. We are thankful for all the volunteers from the congregation that gave their time, assistance, and smiles. We will use this money toward playground improvements, like new astroturf and replacing our sunshades.\n\nWe are excited that our preschool families donated 20 full bags, plus extra cans and food items for the Thanksgiving Food Drive and we also had families participate in Operation Christmas Child. It feels good to give and share with others- especially those who need extra support.\n\nThis week, the school is celebrating Thanksgiving with our Thanksgiving Feasts on the playground. We are looking forward to sharing the spirit of giving and gratitude for what we have, and God as the Provider.\n\nWishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!...

Craft Fair!

RBCPC Preschool is supported by family tuition, donations and fundraisers. Our big fundraiser is coming up. The 37th Annual Craft Fair will be open Friday, October\n \nWe still need a few vendors and about 50 volunteers.\n \nWe are excited to have some of our favorite, long time vendors returning as well as a few new faces. We do have a few vendor spaces open. If you, or someone you know, are interested in being a vendor at the Craft Fair, please contact Dana at rbcraftfair@gmail.com.\n \nIt takes a team to make the Craft Fair run smoothly. We need volunteers to bake yummy items to sell at the Bake Sale, help with Bake Sale preparations (Thurs. and Fri.), selling baked goods at the Bake Sale, selling tickets at the Opportunity Drawing booth, greeting guests, checking on our vendors, collecting donations at the Carnival Friday night (5pm-6 pm), clean up Saturday, and more. Volunteer sign up sheets will be on the courtyard Sunday, September 22nd and 29th, or you can contact us at rbcraftfair@gmail.com.\n \nWe appreciate your support of the preschool! \nWe hope you’ll join us at the Craft Fair.\n\nBlessings,\nKim Vandergrift...
